Position: INCLUSION SERVICE SUPPORT OFFICER

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Inclusion Service Support Team, in the Education Inclusion Service. This team is responsible for delivering a range of business support functions for the various teams within the Inclusion Service.

The Education Inclusion Service comprises a range of services responsible for improving outcomes for children and young people with additional learning needs (ALN). Services include educational psychology, specialist teaching and the ALN Statutory team. The services work with schools and other education settings to support identification and support for learners with ALN.

About the job

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to support local authority panel processes from initial referral through to final outcome. This will include collating, preparing, and quality‑checking case information for panel consideration, coordinating statutory correspondence, and ensuring that all documentation is accurately filed and organised to support timely and effective decision‑making. You will oversee the management, recording, and tracking of referrals, working closely with Inclusion Leaders to ensure cases progress smoothly through each stage of the panel process.

Additionally, you may be asked to provide comprehensive administrative support for team meetings, stakeholder meetings, task and finish groups, and project groups, including producing accurate and timely minutes to enable clear communication, effective follow‑up actions, and consistent workflow across the service.
