Education Strategy and Transformation Pre Registration Admin Officer

The post holder will work independently, being responsible for assisting the Education Strategy and Transformation Pre Registration Team (EST) and associated work streams in general administration and secretarial duties, always ensuring a professional and confidential service.

They will work independently in a way that ensures the delivery of a high quality service, organising their work to meet the workload peaks and troughs throughout the working day whilst ensuring deadlines and targets are met. They will ensure their workload is managed effectively and demonstrate flexibility in thinking, openness of mind and readiness for frequent change. The post holder will respond appropriately in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

  • Deal with first line enquiries to the department.
  • To provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Education Strategy and Transformation Pre Registration Team and associated work streams.
  • To develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Undertake secretariat duties for internal and external meetings.
  • Work independently and manage own workload.

Person Specification Qualifications and Knowledge
  • NVQ Level 3 secretarial or administration qualification (i.e., NVQ level 3 or RSA qualification) or equivalent demonstrable experience of administrative / office skills and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and using IT systems.
  • Evidence of recent continual professional development.
  • Understanding of GDPR requirements.
Experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience of establishing new office systems and processes.
  • Experience of dealing with non-routine issues.
  • Experience of preparing and assisting with the preparation of reports and other business documents.
  • Experience in producing formal minutes and providing administrative support for meetings.
  • Experience of working in the NHS
  • Previous experience of working within a programme or project.

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
