Duties- Assisting all Depts
- Keeping the waiting area tidy and presentable
- Word processing, photocopying, scanning, filing and faxing
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail
- Taking messages from clients and ensuring that the messages are passed to the relevant fee earner/secretary
- Maintaining a filing system with regard to Wills/Deeds
- Maintaining stationary provisions
- Maintaining the firm’s storage facilities
- Running errands such as daily banking, local deliveries, Post Office, oaths
- Holiday cover for reception staff, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Managing the reception telephones
- Receiving clients and professionals who come for appointments/meetings
- Dealing with clients or non-clients who come in without an appointment
- Taking payment from clients
- Any other reasonable or related duties
Requirements
QualificationsNo formal qualifications are needed other than GCSE Maths and English.
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills
- Be confident with technology
- Be reliable and understand the importance of good time management
- Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all teams
- Have a good telephone manner
- Be able to use their own initiative
- Have a willingness to learn
