We are looking for permanent Receptionist/Dispatcher's to join and expand our existing multi-disciplinary Team to cover a range of shifts across Cardiff Royal Infirmary and Barry Hospital.
Main duties of the jobAbout the role:
Working within a busy environment you will be responsible for recording patient arrivals, answering calls, preparing clinics and handling confidential information. Successful candidates will be required to dispatch appointments appropriately, including home visits.
You should have excellent team working skills and you must be reliable and flexible to meet the needs and demands of the service. This role will include working unsociable hours, and there will also be a requirement to work during bank holiday periods.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

CAV 24/7 - Right place, First Time
Urgent Primary Care access is changing in Cardiff and Vale. What is CAV 24/7? A comprehensive Phone First service that provides enhanced clinical telephone triage to ensure the citizens of Cardiff and Vale access safe and effective urgent care, underpinned by the principle of right place, first time.
About you:
Previous reception experience would be highly advantageous, however if you have previous customer service and administration experience (ideally gained within a healthcare environment) we are waiting to hear from you.
You will be required to have good communication skills, be computer literate and the ability to work well under pressure, the ability to stay calm will be essential.

Person Specification Experience- Experience working with the public

- Previous IT experience
- Work within a Clinical Setting
- Knowledge of PC based systems/operations
- IT Skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Evidence of working within a team
- Prior knowledge / use of Adastra
- Educated to basic level - GCSE
