Overview
Join the Beacon Specialized Living Services Team and make a real impact by supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. No experience is required—our comprehensive training will equip you to grow professionally in a compassionate, mission‑driven environment.
Daily Responsibilities- Provide person‑centered support and guide residents toward their goals.
- Create a safe, respectful environment and uphold residents’ rights.
- Prepare meals, assist with laundry, and maintain a clean home environment.
- Transport residents to appointments, advocate on their behalf, and assist with documentation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure correct dosage.
- Remain 24/7 available in homes requiring round‑the‑clock care.
- Support residents with personal care, life skills, and social activities.
- Passion for helping others and a commitment to positive impact.
- Team player who collaborates with compassionate professionals.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual in completing tasks.
- Willingness to learn and grow through on‑the‑job training.
- Physical and emotional resilience to manage occasional challenging behaviors.
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with individuals having mental illness and co‑occurring disorders.
- Preferred:
- 1‑2 years of experience in healthcare, social services, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to physical aggression and infectious disease.
