Overview

Join the Beacon Specialized Living Services Team and make a real impact by supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. No experience is required—our comprehensive training will equip you to grow professionally in a compassionate, mission‑driven environment.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Provide person‑centered support and guide residents toward their goals.
  • Create a safe, respectful environment and uphold residents’ rights.
  • Prepare meals, assist with laundry, and maintain a clean home environment.
  • Transport residents to appointments, advocate on their behalf, and assist with documentation.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure correct dosage.
  • Remain 24/7 available in homes requiring round‑the‑clock care.
  • Support residents with personal care, life skills, and social activities.

Qualifications
  • Required:
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 18 years of age or older.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Compassionate and patient demeanor with individuals having mental illness and co‑occurring disorders.
  • Preferred:
    • 1‑2 years of experience in healthcare, social services, or a related field.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to physical aggression and infectious disease.
