Part-Time Activities Assistant

Do you enjoy bringing smiles to others and making a meaningful impact each day? Our Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents through engaging, purposeful, and fun activities.

Position Overview

The Activities Assistant supports the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and facilitating individual and group activities that promote socialization, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life for our residents.

• Assist with planning and leading recreational, social, and therapeutic activities

• Encourage resident participation and create a welcoming, inclusive environment

• Provide one-on-one interaction for residents as needed

• Help with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed activities

• Set up, clean up, and maintain activity areas and supplies

• Support documentation related to activities participation

• Work collaboratively with nursing and care teams to meet resident needs

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience in long-term care, activities, childcare, or customer service preferred

• Compassionate, patient, and energetic personality

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to engage residents of varying physical and cognitive abilities

• Part-time hours

  • Every other weekend 8am-4pm

  • Tuesday and Thursdays 4pm-8pm
