Job Description
Hire Level is looking for CDL A Driver in Carbondale, IL.
Our Client, with honesty, integrity, and a focus on the customer, strives to divert in as safe and efficient a manner as possible every pound of scrap material we can. This includes metals, paper, plastics, and electronic waste. For years now they have accomplished this goal and in so doing have become important contributors to each and every community they serve.
Job Category: Full-Time
Location: Carbondale, IL
Shift: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $21.00. Opportunity for $23/hr after 30 days for experienced drivers.
Responsibilities of CDL A Driver:
- Transport heavy metals and scrap, daily, to and from St. Louis area
- Perform general labor in salvage yard as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements of CDL A Driver:
- Must possess an Illinois Class A CDL with Airbrakes endorsement and a clean MVR record
- Must be able to drive manual transmission
- Must have experience with dumping
- Must have current DOT physical and obtain a DOT drug test
