• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for Illinois OR RN positions)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• ACLS certification required
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs prior to surgery and as part of perioperative care
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized perioperative care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide clear patient and family education, instructions, and surgical preparation guidance
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and postoperatively; respond to changes using sound clinical judgment
• Maintain accurate and complete perioperative and medical documentation
• Promote a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment within the surgical team
• Participate in continuing education, competency validation, and professional development relevant to operating room nursing
