Overview
Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a collaborative behavioral health team focused on comprehensive, high-quality care for the people of southern Illinois, an area drawing from a patient population of about 330,000.
SIH is working to break down behavioral health barriers in southern Illinois by serving patients throughout the region. SIH has expanded services to better meet the needs of the region by providing comprehensive mental health care using an evidence-based biopsychosocial model.
Center for Medical Arts is a multidisciplinary health care facility located in Carbondale, IL serving the residents of southern Illinois. The Center for Medical Arts is a multidisciplinary health care facility serving the residents of southern Illinois. Primary care services include family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics and pediatrics. The Center also provides access to specialty care services such as allergy/immunology, behavioral health, ENT, endocrinology, gastroenterology and rheumatology.
Our convenient outpatient facility also provides imaging (radiology) and laboratory services as well as Prompt Care walk-in services. The Physicians Surgery Center offers same-day surgery in a warm, personalized setting.
Responsibilities- Established and new patient caseload
- Collaborative working relationship with support organizations across the region
- Built-in referrals from a team of community providers
- LCSWs working across various service lines and in multiple locations (hospital and clinic settings)
- An MD or equivalent degree in medicine
- A current Illinois medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- BE/BC via American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Dedication to maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards
