Job Description: DJI Dock Pilot
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented DJI Dock Pilot to operate and oversee drone dock systems on 12-hour shifts. The role involves managing automated drone operations, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, monitoring flight missions, and maintaining equipment readiness. This position is critical to supporting continuous aerial operations for surveillance, inspection, and data collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Drone Operations
- Operate DJI Dock systems to launch and monitor..
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks to ensure safety and compliance.
- Monitor real-time flight data and respond to alerts or anomalies.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all operations comply with local aviation regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate flight logs, incident reports, and operational records.
- Implement safety protocols to minimize risks during drone operations.
- Data Management
- Oversee the collection, storage, and transfer of aerial data.
- Verify data integrity and coordinate with analytics teams for processing.
- Shift Coverage
- Work 12-hour shifts to provide continuous operational coverage.
- Collaborate with other pilots and shift supervisors to ensure seamless handovers.
Requirements
- Valid Remote Pilot Certificate with BVLOS
- Restricted Radio License
- Previous experience operating DJI drones or similar UAV systems preferable.
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- AVSEC - preferred
- Class 3 Aviation Medical - mandatory
- Code B Drivers License
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Clean Criminal record (mandatory requirement)
- Ability to work long shifts with focus and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts (day/night rotation as required).
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays depending on operational needs.
Work Environment
- Control room monitoring with access to advanced drone management software.
- Collaborative team environment with cross-functional coordination.
