Delivery Driver

Duties and responsibilities:

• Loading and offloading timber from trucks

• Ensure all loads are secure

• Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their expectations.

• To drive safely to deliver goods and ensure recipients receive their orders

• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure they are complete and correct.

• To adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.

• To abide by all traffic laws and maintaining a safe driving record.

• Follow any lawful and reasonable instruction from your superior

• Act as part of the team and always assist other members of the team in achieving common goals

• Consistently live and be an example of the Company values The following requirements are necessary:

• Be eligible to work in South Africa.

• A valid CODE 10 South African driver's license with (PrDP)

• Forklift operator.

• Clean driving record.

• Experience may be required or preferred.

• A willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures and traffic laws.

• Have a familiarity with using navigation systems and with local streets, neighbourhoods, and routes.

• Have strong time management and customer service skills.

• Highly responsible and reliable

• Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.

• Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
