1st Officer Deck

Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in managing and operating the vessel
• Ensure the safety and security of all passengers and crew onboard the cruise ship
• Manage the navigation and steering of the vessel
• Supervise and train other crew members
• Maintain and update navigational charts and equipment
• Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to the vessel’s course
• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all safety procedures are followed
• Maintain accurate records of all activities and incidents on board
• Communicate effectively with the Captain and other crew members
• Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and company policies
• Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo and supplies
• Handle any emergency situations that may arise
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Captain

• Minimum of 24 months of experience as a 1st Officer on a cruise ship or private yacht
• Valid STCW certification
• Proficiency in navigation and ship handling
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• Basic mechanical and technical knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
