Our professional International Clientis seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing import operations, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management. This role requires excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans, and a deep understanding of industry practices, particularly those employed by past Logistics.

• Manage Import Operations: Oversee the entire import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation.
• Coordinate with Stakeholders: Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth and efficient import operations.
• Compliance: Ensure all import activities comply with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control costs associated with import activities.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the import process.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on import activities.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an import controller role with a competitor.
• Education: Degree or Diploma in Logistics.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the practices and procedures of past Logistics.
