Software Engineer

This role is part of a fast-growing technology-driven logistics organisation with offices in the UK and South Africa. The business is focused on using smart allocation and innovative technology to transform customer experience, reduce costs, and improve environmental impact.

• Troubleshoot and solve complex software issues to help scale and future-proof the business.
• Deliver production-ready, logical, and pragmatic code following agile best practices.
• Communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing blockers and solving problems.
• Champion improvements in testing techniques and frameworks to achieve quality goals.
• Mentor and support junior colleagues.

• Cloud-first (AWS)
• Backend:
  Java with Spring, Python
• Frontend:
  JavaScript with Vue.js
• Some projects using Type Script
• Legacy PHP stack being phased out

• Experience with the above tech stack, or similar, and keen to learn new technologies.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding customer solutions with maintainable code.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience delivering against key projects.
• Understanding of web development practices and tools; e-commerce experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with software architecture patterns, database optimisation, scalability, and deployment.
• Practical experience with CI / CD, QA, and agile environments.
• Bias to action with the ability to deliver quality work quickly.
• Based in the UK and able to commute to offices in London at least 3 days per week.
• Not able to provide visa sponsorship.
