Semi-Skilled Maintenance Fitter

Our client is seeking an Semi-Skilled Mechanical Fitter that will be based at the Phillipi, Cape Town branch,

· Assist with routine servicing and maintenance of plant, and equipment

· Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics using basic tools and equipment

· Inspect equipment for wear, defects, and safety issues

· Assist with breakdown repairs and emergency call-outs when required

· Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and maintenance reports

· Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and safe

· Comply with company policies, safety standards, and OHSA regulations

· Work collaboratively with senior Fitters and workshop staff

· Grade 12

· N2–N3 Mechanical Engineering or Fitter related qualification

· Minimum 2–4 years’ experience working with mechanical equipment

· Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, and components

· Experience with conveyors and shredders

· Experience with steel processing plant equipment, trucks and excavators advantages
