2nd Assistant Repairman

Responsibilities

• Assist the 1st Assistant Repairman in performing maintenance and repairs onboard the cruise ship equipment and systems
• Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
• Assist in the ordering and inventory of spare parts and supplies
• Collaborate with other crew members to ensure efficient operation of the vessel
• Participate in emergency drills and respond to emergency situations as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Willingness to work long hours and be on call as needed
• Valid certification in Basic Safety Training and STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping)
