3rd Assistant Electrician

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Electrician in the maintenance, repair, and installation of all electrical equipment On Board Cruise Ship
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment and ensure they are properly stored and accounted for.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on board.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
• Assist in training and supervising junior electricians and other crew members on electrical safety and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician on board vessels.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment commonly used on board ships.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Valid STCW certification and other relevant licenses and certifications.
