The Handyman ensures a smooth and consistent resolution to maintenance issues logged during a shift and through verbal instructions. Areas of responsibility include security, pools, grounds, hotel rooms and any other area of the hotel. The role will include general DIY and maintenance, including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating.

• Resolve maintenance issues logged during a shift and via verbal instruction.
• Work across various hotel areas (security, pool, grounds, rooms, etc.).
• Execute general DIY and maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating.
• Work independently or as part of a team.

• Matric.
• 1–2 years prior Handyman/Maintenance experience.
• Additional qualifications in the field advantageous (salary dependent).
• Hands‑on problem‑solving approach and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Effective communication with staff and guests.
• Honest, trustworthy, attentive to detail, presentable and well‑spoken.
• Proactive, interpersonal skills, team player who leads by example.
• Ability to run multiple tasks/jobs simultaneously.
