Sales Representative – Electricity, Water & Gas Metering Solutions
  • A Sales Representative is required in the private and public metering space, focused on selling electricity, water, and gas metering solutions and products to customers.
  • The ideal candidate is a results-driven, technically minded individual who actively seeks out and engages customer prospects. The role involves providing complete and appropriate solutions for each customer to drive top- and bottom-line revenue growth and profitability
  • Key Performance Areas
  • Promote metering products and services
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and budgets
  • Analyse and investigate pricing, demand, and competition
  • Confer with customers and technical staff to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements
  • Conduct market research and cold-call potential customers to identify new markets and opportunities
  • Create detailed proposals and formal bid documentation
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and solution demonstrations to prospective customers
  • Communicate new product developments to existing and prospective clients
  • Provide accurate sales reports and forecasts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from inception to completion
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Spend the majority of time in the field meeting customers and prospecting for new business, rather than working from an office
  • Skills and Education Required
  • Relevant qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a private-sector utilities environment
  • Proven sales track record in the utilities and metering space (advantageous)
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills while maintaining professional customer relationships
  • Ability to perform and grow in a competitive environment
  • Fluency in English
