A reputable company in the wine industry is seeking to appoint a dynamic and energetic Sales & Export Executive to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance through the management of existing customer relationships, the development of new business opportunities, and the effective coordination of sales‑related logistics.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, relationship management skills, and in‑depth knowledge of the wine industry.
Responsibilities- Manage existing customer base
- Develop new customer base
- Manage logistics from placing order to delivery and payment
- Report sales weekly/monthly by customer and by product
- Set and agree sales targets
- Set and agree annual expense budget
- Arrange and manage International wine exhibitions, tastings and shows
- Maintain regular contact and face time with customers
- Maintain relationships with wine estates and service providers
- Remain up to date on new products, latest vintages and trends in the wine industry – locally and overseas
- Able to discuss and plan logistics of deliveries
- Bachelor's in Marketing, Business Science, Wine Science or a relevant field
- Formal Wine Qualification, min WSET level 2 and or winemaker (advantageous)
- Able to travel extensively overseas
- Young mature professional
- High energy level
- Independent self‑starter
- In‑depth knowledge of wine‑making & wines
- Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills at all levels
- Able to deal with diverse customer & supplier base
- AI savvy
- Able to run presentations, wine exhibitions & shows
- Committed to the product – must love wine
- Strong organising & negotiation skills
- Detailed knowledge of wine export procedures
- Confident sales type – able to close deals, not “order taker”
- Highly numerate – understands mark‑ups, margins, cost of sales & discounts
- Attention to detail, happy to work in small team and practical problem‑solver
- Stable career path – wants to stay for the long run
