Stormsvlei, Western Cape
About the PositionWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Game Ranger to join our team at a private game reserve in the Stormsvlei area. The successful candidate will be responsible for wildlife conservation, guest experiences, and the daily management of the reserve.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct guided game drives and walking safaris
- Monitor wildlife movements, health, and behavior
- Ensure anti-poaching and reserve security measures are upheld
- Maintain vehicles, equipment, and ranger facilities
- Assist with habitat management and conservation projects
- Engage professionally with guests, providing educational and memorable experiences
- Record and report sightings and incidents accurately
- FGASA Level 1 (minimum) or equivalent qualification
- Valid PDP and Code 10 drivers license (preferred)
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Rifle competency (advantageous)
- Previous experience as a game ranger (preferred)
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for wildlife conservation and ecotourism
