Groundskeeper

Seeking Groundskeeper with Matric and Gardening & Grounds Maintenance experience for a contract assignment in Cape Town.

Job Title:

Groundskeeper Our client is a boutique Wellness Spa nestled in the leafy suburbs of Constantia and are seeking a reliable Groundskeeper to join their team.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 years relevant experience in gardening, groundskeeping or general building maintenance.
• Physical Stamina & Manual Dexterity
• Knowledge of the safe use and handling of gardening and maintenance tools.
• Good Communication Skills (verbal)
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

• Plant Care & Horticulture Knowledge.
• Grounds Maintenance.
• Irrigation & Water Management.
• Tool & Equipment Handling.
• Pest & Weed Control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Grounds Maintenance:

• Maintain lawns, flower beds, trees, shrubs and pathways to a premium standard.

• Plant, prune, trim, fertilise and water plants as required.

• Ensure gardens are neat, clean, healthy and visually appealing at all times.

• Operate and maintain gardening equipment safely.

• Identify plant diseases, pests or irrigation issues and report or address them promptly.

• Manage seasonal planting and general landscaping improvements.

• Handyman Duties:

• Perform basic repairs (doors, locks, handles, shelves, fittings, etc.).

• Assist with painting, patching, tiling, and small renovation tasks when needed.

• Check and replace light bulbs.

• Ensure outdoor furniture, fences, pergolas and walkways are safe and well maintained.

• Assist with setting up or clearing areas for events or special functions.

• Report major maintenance issues to management
