SASSI Project Officer

(This is an 18-month fixed term contract position based in WWF-SA Head office in Newlands, Cape Town)

BACKGROUND:

The Project Officer will lead the coordination of consumer awareness, science-communication, outreach, social marketing and partnership-base in Cape Town and KZN.

The Project Officer will support the WWF-SASSI programme by planning, coordinating, and delivering effective science communication and outreach activities that drive sustainable seafood awareness and behaviour change. The role will also contribute to WWF South Africa’s broader objectives, ensuring alignment with organisational messaging, brand guidelines, and strategic priorities.

This position requires a strong communicator who is organised, creative, and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, platforms, and projects.
