About Us:

Kosmas Enterprises is a dynamic investment company focused on acquiring and scaling businesses across sectors including real estate, technology, and food & agribusiness. With multiple acquisitions in progress, we are now seeking a General Manager (Group Operations Lead) to head up and integrate our operating system, oversee group functions, and drive cross-business optimisation.

The Role:

As General Manager, you will serve as the executive lead for all back-office and operational activities across the group. This includes overseeing finance, HR, admin, and business development functions across our ventures. You will play a critical role in post-acquisition integration, process implementation, and ensuring that our ventures are structured for scale, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive-level oversight of ALTWork’s operating system and manage department leads across finance, HR & Recruitment, Sales, Marketing & Tendering, Admin and Enterprise Coordination, and support functions in Cape Town.
  • Lead integration and onboarding of newly acquired businesses into the group structure.
  • Design and enforce internal systems for operations, reporting, and cross-entity coordination.
  • Work closely with UK-based leaders and portfolio company managers to ensure cohesive group strategy execution.
  • Identify and implement technology and structural efficiencies across operations.
  • Drive recruitment and performance oversight of support functions based in Cape Town.
  • Review performance across businesses and support strategy adjustments with leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a general management, COO, or operational leadership role.
  • Track record of successfully integrating acquisitions, scaling operations, and managing diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of finance, HR, and administrative systems.
  • Confident managing remote and distributed teams across international markets (UK, Africa).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; comfortable reporting into the board.
  • Experience in private equity, corporate development, or portfolio operations (preferred but not essential).
