This is a unique opportunity to serve as Media
24's primary legal advisor while building strategic stakeholder relationships and contributing to board-level decision making. You'll be working at the intersection of law, media, technology, and business strategy.

Legal counsel

• Provide strategic legal counsel on media law, intellectual property, and digital content matters
• Ensure compliance across all our diverse media operations
• Manage litigation and coordinate external legal services
• Navigate complex regulatory requirements in the evolving media landscape

Stakeholder management

• Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, government agencies, and community organizations
• Represent Media
  24 at industry forums and regulatory discussions
• Influence policy development that affects the media sector

Board advisory and reporting

• Prepare comprehensive management reports for board meetings
• Coordinate annual report preparation and business plan development
• Present legal and regulatory updates to executive leadership
• Support governance and compliance reporting functions

Essential:

• Admitted attorney with LLB from a recognised South African university
• 5+ years legal practice with 3+ years corporate advisory experience
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in board reporting or executive communication

Preferred:

• LLM with specialization in media law, IP, or corporate law
• Media, publishing, or digital industry experience
• Experience with regulatory bodies
