Role Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst with a strong focus on data to join their team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, translating data-driven insights into actionable strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of process flows, process documentation, data structure, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and document detailed business requirements for data-related projects, including data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure accuracy and relevance of data.
- Manage data projects and follow an Agile approach to management of projects. Set up projects in a project management tool. This includes creating user stories, planning sprints etc.
- Act as a bridge between developers and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder management, including communication and feedback regarding projects.
- Seek to improve business processes. Documenting all business processes found along the way. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, and system design documents.
- Validate final deliverables with the stakeholders and sign off on projects. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Manage and prioritise incoming requests, take responsibility for planning and deadlines dates.
- Partake in a quarterly newsletter to update stakeholders on department progress and initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and present findings.
- Support efforts in ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across various data platforms.
- Participate in defining and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and anomalies.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on data-related projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel.
