Senior SAP Programme Manager

We are seeking a very senior, hands-on SAP Technical Programme / Project Manager to lead complex, large-scale SAP initiatives across retail, eCommerce, supply chain, warehousing, and logistics.

This role requires a hard-core delivery leader with deep SAP programme experience, capable of operating in a high-pressure retail trading environment where timelines are fixed and business impact is significant.

The successful candidate will be accountable for end-to-end delivery, from strategy and planning through execution, cutover, go-live, and stabilisation.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Programme & Project Delivery

- Lead large-scale SAP programmes and projects, including S/4

HANA and/or ECC implementations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Own end-to-end delivery accountability across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
- Drive complex multi-stream SAP initiatives, coordinating functional, technical, data, and integration work streams.
- Manage cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases to ensure business continuity in a retail trading environment.

Retail, eCommerce & Supply Chain Enablement

- Deliver SAP-enabled solutions supporting:

- Retail operations

- eCommerce platforms

- Supply chain, warehousing, and logistics

- Ensure tight integration between SAP and downstream operational systems (e.g. eCommerce platforms, WMS, logistics systems).
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions support order fulfilment, stock availability, promotions, and customer experience.

Hands-On Delivery Leadership

- Operate in a hands-on senior delivery role, not just governance oversight.
- Actively manage RAID, dependencies, delivery risks, and issue resolution.
- Step into programme recovery or turnaround situations where required.
- Maintain delivery momentum in fast-paced, deadline-driven retail environments.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

- Engage and influence senior business and executive stakeholders across IT, supply chain, logistics, and retail operations.
- Manage multiple systems integrators, SAP vendors, and third-party partners.
- Drive strong delivery governance, transparent reporting, and clear escalation paths.

Governance & Reporting

- Establish and maintain robust programme governance frameworks.
- Provide clear, concise executive-level reporting on progress, risks, financials, and milestones.
- Ensure adherence to project management standards and delivery best practices.
