Responsible for identifying and executing continuous improvement opportunities, reporting and updating the knowledge management system. Oversee and conduct the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions. The MI/BI Analyst will have to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritize work, and remain functional under pressure, and aggressive timelines. Skilled in data analysis and programming, assisting business retrieve and use the data to understand trends, solve business problems and monitor metrics.

They assist with determining the data the company needs, structuring it in an appropriate format, analyzing the data using queries, and creating reports and visualizations for company decision‑makers. To manipulate and prepare data for evaluation and reporting purposes, build data marts for different business users to view and use for analysis and decision making. To support and enhance intellectual business performance modelling and create measures that drive an optimal value management strategy.

To enhance information to support optimal decision making.

• To provide support in business enablement and creation of information to inform decision making, through the execution of delivering data, formatting information, querying databases, developing and updating reports, and assisting with projects when needed.

• Translate business questions to be solved into data requirements & define data solutions to deliver against these requirements

• Develop end-to-end plans and designs of models required to support in-depth customer behavioural analysis and predictions. Translate business requirements into a technical specification.

• Design fit for purpose data interpretation & analysis approaches & create customized data models and algorithms to achieve the desired business outcomes

• Analyse & interpret complex data sets

• Apply quality assurance frameworks to test model & analysis techniques (e.g. algorithms, models) & overall data quality

• Apply the testing frameworks to monitor and analyse model performance & data integrity on all data assignments

• Produce business insights and recommendations based on data analysis & modeling concluded & where relevant with knowledge and experience of e.g. SQL, Java, Scala, Python, Hadoop, Apache Spark & Kafka

• Use storytelling and data visualization techniques to maximize impact & deliver a user-friendly product to business

• Contribute to the consolidation of data solutions into viable end products (in the language of business) that can be leveraged on an ongoing basis e.g. dashboards, reports etc.

• Knowledge of source data systems, banking products & services as well as the service delivery process

• Source information from different data warehouses, data marts, manual systems and on-line systems based on knowledge of appropriate data sources given the business requirement

• Collect and package data into usable and user-friendly management information for the relevant teams and stakeholders in the business

• Transform raw operational data into structured, insight-driven business intelligence.

• Ensuring the updates of Standardised operational scorecards, Executive dashboards, Performance monitoring tools

• Ensure consistency, governance, and alignment of reporting across business units.

• Translate data outputs into forward‑looking insights to support strategic performance reviews.

• Present data analysis (trends, insights, forecasts) & findings to business & show tangible business impact.

• Building dashboards using BI applications and data visualization tools that the bank uses (including Power
