Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Data Analyst based in the City of Cape Town. The Data Analyst will manage data analysis projects using statistical methods, analyse large datasets to uncover patterns, present actionable insights to stakeholders, and create data models to support decision-making. The role involves close collaboration with other teams, ensuring that data-driven strategies guide business processes.

The Data Analyst will work with multiple data sources, build reporting frameworks, and develop dashboards that make business performance easy to understand. This role requires someone who can operate independently, think strategically, and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights

• Extract, clean, and connect data from multiple sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and applications

• Build and maintain dashboards and KPI reports to track business performance

• Design clear data visualizations, including charts, graphs, and reporting metrics

• Translate complex datasets into clear insights for business stakeholders

• Support strategic decision-making across departments with data-driven recommendations

• Help establish internal data practices, reporting standards, and analytical processes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–6 years’ experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role
• Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with multiple data sources and datasets
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python
• Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and deliver actionable recommendations
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Strong data visualisation and dashboard-building skills
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage analytical projects
• Experience in the Fin Tech or financial services industry is a plus
