Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced BI Developer with expertise in Power BI to join our team. Your primary role will be to transform raw data into actionable insights through compelling visualizations that drive strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, advanced problem-solving skills, and a passion for data-driven storytelling.

You will work closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models, ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability. Responsibilities:

Partner with business stakeholders to gather and understand their requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.

Develop, test, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations, ensuring they provide high-level insights in an intuitive and impactful format.

Design and optimize semantic data models using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, ensuring consistent and accurate data flow across various reporting applications.

Write and troubleshoot complex DAX queries for calculated measures and columns.

Develop and optimize SQL queries, create views, stored procedures (SPs); able to read and modify existing SQL code for business requirements.

Connect Power BI to a wide range of data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, and cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data retrieval.

Implement best practices for Power BI performance optimization, including query optimization, query folding, aggregation tables, and proper indexing to enhance report performance.

Provide end-user training and ongoing support to help stakeholders leverage Power BI effectively, ensuring high adoption and user satisfaction across the organization.

Assist with managing Power BI Service, including supporting workspace management, ensuring smooth report deployment, helping with user access, and troubleshooting basic performance and connectivity issues.

Document technical specifications, data models, processes, and reporting standards for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

3+ years of work experience using Power BI, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects and solving complex problems.

Proficient in writing advanced DAX.

Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.

Experience with SQL and data modeling (., star schema, snowflake schema).

Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Curiosity, enthusiasm, positive attitude, a passion to build, and a willingness to seek and learn new concepts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience working in the Automotive or Manufacturing Industry is a plus.
