Test Analyst II

Our client is looking for a self‑motivated individual to join the Institutional IT team as a test analyst, delivering quality software that creates an exceptional user experience for our end users.

We are excited to have you join a team of approximately 65 members covering Domain Owners, Development Manager, Architect, Business Analysts, Developers (.NET and SQL) and IT Operations. The team operates within four business‑aligned domains:
Front Office, Middle Office, Fund Operations and Client Servicing, with additional support from the Tech domain and IT Operations.

What you can expect:
You will work predominantly within the Client Services Domain performing functional and regression testing and resolving production defects.

• Extract test requirements for user stories
• Design and create test cases
• Estimate effort for testing tasks
• Manually test applications, including front‑end, system integration, regression, end‑to‑end, and exploratory testing
• Manage and maintain manual regression test suites
• Mitigate product risk to limit defects in production
• Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to identify, log, and verify defects in a defect tracking system
• Work with other teams in Institutional IT for integration testing
• Assist in production support issues and queries
• Liaise with IT Ops and other domains for support to resolve or assist with fixes
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and performance

• 5 years of test experience
• Basic SQL skills
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or IT
• Testing fundamentals training or test certification (advantageous)
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) (advantageous)

Please note:

This is a Cape Town based role requiring in‑office presence for a minimum of three days a week, with Monday and Thursday mandatory.
