Lead and execute large-scale SQL Server cloud migrations to AWS platforms

Migrate on-prem SQL Server databases to Amazon RDS and EC2 environments

Develop, enhance, and maintain detailed database migration runbooks

Write and optimise T-SQL scripts for migration, validation, and performance tuning

Ensure compliance with security controls and service delivery standards

Operate effectively within regulated, production, and mission-critical environments

Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement structured problem-solving approaches

Work autonomously while collaborating with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams

5+ years’ hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Strong working knowledge of AWS platforms and services

Experience migrating databases to Amazon RDS and EC2

Ability to develop and execute structured migration methodologies

Strong understanding of production controls, governance, and risk mitigation

Experience supporting high-availability, business-critical systems

Strong analytical mindset with logical, structured problem-solving ability

Self-motivated and able to manage migrations independently

Experience working with AWS Managed Services (AMS)

Scripting experience in Power Shell and/or Python

Experience migrating SSIS / SSRS / SSAS (SSxS) environments to RDS SQL Server

Experience developing automation scripts to streamline migration processes

Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
