Data Governance Specialist; Technical Lead

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in developing and documenting contextualised Data Governance Frameworks, including supporting appendices to enable practical implementation.
• Ability to adapt best-practice governance principles based on work group inputs, organisational constraints, and independent analysis.
• Experience presenting governance-related best practices as training to work groups to foster discussion and engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice on Energy Data Governance topics, while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure context-sensitive practices are developed.
• Strong understanding of Energy systems and data considerations, developed through stakeholder engagement and document analysis.
• Experience in training organisational staff on Data Governance best practices.
• Ability to review existing documentation and provide structured feedback to support governance transition.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills to translate stakeholder inputs and data insights into actionable governance outputs.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Data Management, Energy Studies, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Data Governance frameworks, principles, and best practices
• Experience with Energy systems and associated data considerations
• Demonstrated ability to develop, document, and implement governance frameworks
• Experience in delivering training or workshops on governance topics
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and incorporate feedback into organisational practices
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
