Role PurposeThe Platform and Compute Support Team is responsible for the smooth operation of our enterprise cloud, managed private clouds, managed services customer environments, and internal cloud environments, ensuring server, storage, network, and hypervisor availability at the highest level. This is achieved through routine maintenance, testing failover and backup, implementing best practices, etc.
As a team member, you will work on incidents, problems, requests, and change requests, always adhering to ITIL principles. You will support a 24/7 Shift Team on standby rotation and may work on a staggered shift schedule to support offshore customers in different time zones. You will collaborate with Project, Transition, and Service Delivery teams to facilitate smooth transitions and acceptance of new customers and technologies into support.
In high-impact, high-urgency incidents, prompt resolution and root cause analysis are required. You will perform general maintenance based on best practices and contribute to process improvements.
Responsibilities- Support of customer network and server environments.
- Perform project duties related to new deployments or development requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical faults and provide fixes.
- Update customers on fault progress via telephone and email.
- Maintain accurate records in Service Now / Autotask.
- Complete Change Requests, including impact and risk analysis.
- Administer managed service customer environments.
- Provide input for Technical Incident Reports.
- Identify and analyze repeat faults.
- Proactively identify fault trends.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Share knowledge and stay updated with current technologies.
- Work with other departments on technical strategies.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond within SLA.
- Attend Change Advisory Board meetings.
- Represent Operations in meetings and working parties.
- Provide technical consultancy to customers, on-site or via VC.
- Support onsite project and support activities.
- Identify gaps in documentation, knowledge, and skills.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Undertake technical audits for key customers.
- Graduate or qualified by experience with certifications such as:
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) – (Essential)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft 365 Certified:
Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-100 and MS-101) - VMware VCP – VCP-DCV 6.x, 7.x, 8.x
- Veeam Certified Engineer
- Commvault Certified Professional
- ITIL Foundation
- Essential (1–2 years): VMware vSphere, Microsoft Azure IAAS, Microsoft O365 Administration, Microsoft Server OS…
