40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Core hours: 9 AM – 5 PM EST

Role Overview

As a Headhunter, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining high-quality talent pipelines for niche and technical roles. This role is highly sourcing-driven and focuses on proactive outreach, talent mapping, and candidate engagement across multiple markets. You will collaborate closely with recruiters and internal stakeholders to understand role requirements and deliver candidates who meet both technical and cultural expectations.

The work is execution-heavy, metrics-driven, and well-suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments. Successful candidates are proactive, analytical, and energized by building long-term candidate relationships.

Your Impact

You will directly influence hiring velocity and placement success by building strong, reliable pipelines for hard-to-fill roles. Your efforts will reduce time-to-fill through proactive sourcing and market intelligence. You will improve pipeline-to-interview and pipeline-to-hire conversion rates through thoughtful candidate engagement and screening. By acting as a trusted advisor to candidates, you will enhance candidate experience and long-term relationship value. Your data-driven approach will continuously improve sourcing strategies and outreach effectiveness.

Areas

of Responsibility
  • Talent Sourcing & Market Mapping – 40%
    • Proactively source niche and technical talent through Linked In Recruiter, ATS platforms, referrals, and market mapping.
    • Identify and engage passive candidates using personalized outbound outreach.
    • Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles.
    • Conduct ongoing market research to identify emerging talent pools.
  • Candidate Screening & Engagement – 25%
    • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess skills, experience, motivation, and cultural alignment.
    • Set clear expectations with candidates regarding role scope, company environment, and growth opportunities.
    • Maintain strong candidate relationships to ensure engagement throughout the hiring process.
    • Act as a trusted point of contact for candidate questions and feedback.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership – 20%
    • Partner closely with recruiters to align sourcing strategies with active hiring needs.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand role requirements and hiring priorities.
    • Share insights on talent availability, role competitiveness, and compensation trends.
    • Support recruiters with pipeline updates and candidate feedback.
  • Data, Reporting & Optimization – 15%
    • Track sourcing metrics including pipeline health, outreach performance, and conversion rates.
    • Prepare regular reports to support recruitment decision-making.
    • Continuously optimize sourcing strategies based on performance data and feedback.
    • Stay current on hiring trends, emerging technologies, and competitive talent landscapes.
  • Requirements

    Must-Haves (Required)

    • 3+ years of experience in headhunting, sourcing, recruitment, or talent acquisition.
    • Proven experience sourcing for niche, technical, or hard-to-fill roles.
    • Advanced expertise using Linked In Recruiter, including complex Boolean searches.
    • Strong Boolean search skills across Linked In, job boards, and alternative sourcing channels.
    • Experience conducting candidate screenings and assessing technical, behavioral, and cultural fit.
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple pipelines simultaneously.
