Your World as Head of People & Culture
1. Cultural Architect & Brand Ambassador You’ll live and breathe our values: Target Driven, Professional, Respectful, Honest, and having FUN. You’ll ensure that even as we scale, we never lose the "magic" that makes Boomerang special.
2. Tech-Forward People Operations You’ll lead the charge in automating the lifecycle. Think AI-assisted recruitment, real-time data dashboards (Zoho ecosystem), and learning pathways that help a frontline agent see a clear road to leadership.
3. Scaling the Engine You own the hiring standards. You’ll build a recruitment machine that identifies talent and character at speed, ensuring every new "Boomerang BAE" is a perfect fit for our high-performance culture.
4. IR & Compliance with a Human Face You’ll navigate the complexities of South African labour law (CCMA, EE, B-BBEE) with a proactive, fair, and people-first mindset. You solve problems before they become disputes.
Is this You?
- The
Experience:
You’ve spent 10+ years in Human Capital, with at least 5 years at an EXCO level. You’ve ideally seen the "hyper-growth" phase of a 500+ person company. - The Mindset: You are an "Executive Operator." You can design a 3-year strategy in the morning and dive into a complex IR matter in the afternoon.
- The Vibe: You are authentic, high-energy, and resilient. You believe that "People First" and "Performance Driven" go hand in glove.
- The Toolkit: You have a deep love for people analytics, a solid grasp of SETA/B-BBEE frameworks, and a knack for identifying top tier talent.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
- 10+ years in Human Capital leadership
- 5+ years at senior/EXCO level
- Proven experience scaling team's 500+
- Solid IR, organisational development, and HR technology exposure
- Experienced in high-growth scaling (preferably in BPO/operations-heavy environments)
Proven leadership of:
- High-volume recruitment at scale
- Industrial relations and CCMA matters
- Employment Equity, Skills Development, SETA, and B-BBEE frameworks
- Strategic and commercially minded
- Deeply passionate about people and culture
- Strong in industrial relations and people systems
- Capable of building a modern, high-performing People function
- Authentic, resilient, high-energy, and values-driven
