Restaurant General Manager – Hospitality Group – Cape Town South Africa
A hospitality group based in Cape Town CBD is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee a portfolio of 7 high-end restaurant concepts, with a strong focus on front-of-house excellence.
Salary: R45,000 gross per month
Shifts:
8 shifts per week
Time Off: 1 day off per week
Reporting To:
Owners / Directors
Responsibilities
-Overall management and operational oversight of 7 restaurants
-Lead and elevate front-of-house operations, service standards, and guest experience
-Recruit, train, mentor, and manage FOH management teams
-Ensure consistency in service delivery across all venues
-Drive customer satisfaction, brand standards, and team performance
-Handle scheduling, staff discipline, and performance management
-Liaise directly with owners on operational performance and improvements
-Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and service protocols
Requirements
-Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Operations Manager within upscale or luxury hospitality
-Strong front-of-house leadership and guest relations expertise
-Ability to manage multiple venues simultaneously
-Excellent communication and people-management skills
-Must reside in or near Cape Town
-Own reliable transport is essential
