What will you be doing?
The role forms part of the Trauma Division and is responsible for the successful launch, promotion, and sales of a specific product range to Orthopaedic Surgeons. The continuing education in the correct application and usage of these products in the sales territory allocated to the incumbent is paramount. This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager responsible for the allocated territory.
What will you need to be successful?
The ability to build and execute quarterly business plans that exceed sales targets across provincial, private, and military hospitals.Maintain a disciplined calling pattern (theatre operating days, in‑rooms appointments) with a continuously updated diary and clear call objectives.Deliver one‑on‑one detailing, in‑service training, workshops, and practical demonstrations using approved materials and clinical literature.Be present in theatre/wards and provide real‑time technical support, observe cases, and translate insights into actions.Know the market and monitor competitor activity; surface new users, indications, and opportunities; and feed insights to Marketing.Keep accurate client call records and submit monthly reports and quarterly activity reviews in line with cycle meetings.Successful candidates would need the following:
A Matric Qualification with a Degree within the Faculty of Health Sciences and previous experience in the Sales of Medical Devices is essentialA qualified Physiotherapist or Biokineticist is preferredA minimum of two years’ experience covering and supporting Orthopeadics cases in theatreScrubbing experience is essentialExperience in Trauma is preferredValid Driver’s LicenseOwn VehicleYou.
