Job Description

Abb Vie Neurosciences has a duty to provide training on the safe and effective, on-label use of our products. The Neuroscience Clinical Facilitator (CF) is an HCP-facing role within Abb Vie who facilitates HCP understanding of key learnings in-clinic. The CF will have required experience in Neuroscience and will be trained to a high level of competency and skill. However, a clinical background/qualification is highly recommended for this role due to the clinical content and technical aspects covered with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
The CF offers 1:1 in-clinic facilitation tailored to educational need and aligned to the Abb Vie Medical Institute (AMI) Educational Journey. The CF will guide on patient assessment and Abb Vie product treatment aligned to the relevant Facilitation Programme. The CF will also cover related anatomy,) plus the implementation of injection techniques covered within the relevant AMI Curriculum undertaken. Experienced in consultative patient facilitation, they assess educational need aiming to fill knowledge and skills gaps.

Taking the theory learned from the AMI educational programmes, they support implementation into practice in the clinical setting on completion of relevant and/or required AMI content. Educational needs will be specific to the individual and based on mutually agreed knowledge/skills gaps.
This needs assessment determines the individualized facilitation pathway for each HCP, and in relevant markets, other non-clinical staff such as Rehabilitation Allied staff.
The CF will facilitate learning using approved AMI, and locally relevant, educational materials with an aim to support a standardised, repeatable methodology for patient assessment and treatment planning and for injection procedures aligned to defined AMI programme curricula related to Neuroscience brands.

This is a role with Regional Focus, therefore ability to travel aligned to Educational need and AMI strategy is
imperative.
1. Delivers In-Clinic Services (Weighting 65%)
Identifies educational need and develops recommendations to enhance clinical practice through delivering a bespoke educational journey for each HCP enrolled on a Facilitation Pathway, and based on the HCP’s self-assessment of knowledge, skills, and confidence. Number of supported clinics/HCPs will be ~30 but aligned with Affiliate-level strategic need; HCPs will be selected through cross-functional alignment between Medical and Commercial Managers.
Establishes a bespoke AMI curricula-aligned Facilitation Pathway with the HCP in pursuit of supporting improved patient outcomes. Facilitation is hands-off and the HCP retains clinical judgement and responsibility for patient treatment.
Focus will be Beginner and Intermediate HCPs, but other segments may require support as determined on educational need by the Area & Affiliate AMI Lead. Maintains a high level of service through reliable and timely follow-up after any interaction with HCPs and records all activity in VEEVA CRM to allow for KPI monitoring.
2. Arranges and Supports Education via available digital platforms (Weighting 15%)
As a fundamental part of the Facilitation Pathway with a CF, guides HCP educational curricula utilising AMI digital platforms help improve the level of clinical knowledge around Abbvie Neuroscience products for clinicians. This channel plans to be the core AMI offering for Beginner injectors but holds value for all HCPs that a CF interacts with as part of their role.
3. Supports AMI Lead in AMI Event Delivery (Weighting 20%)
Supports with the delivery of key Affiliate-level AMI events as requested by the AMI Lead. These include, but not limited to, attendance at industry conferences & AMI meetings/workshops to engage with customers. This activity also supports CF self-development and upskilling. If the CF has an appropriate clinical qualification, may also be requested to act as ‘First Assist’ for Faculty during live technical workshops.

Qualifications

 University degree in a clinically based subject specifically medicine, nursing but other patient-facing clinical
roles may be accepted e.g., biokinetics, physiotherapy, occupational…
