Senior Professional Officer - Town Planning Technical / Construction ~ Project Management
Cape Town - Western Cape
We are seeking 1 qualified Town and Regional Planning Professionals to join our clients team on a 12-month contract to assist with the production capacity of land use/building plan applications. The successful candidates will work closely with the clients district offices across the Cape Metro and contribute to efficient and effective planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing Land-Use Applications within the eight district offices.
- Undertaking Assigned Projects and Tasks related to planning and building applications.
- Ensuring Compliance with legislated time frames and relevant protocols.
- Performing Administrative Duties to support planning processes.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Town and Regional Planning.
- Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years relevant postgraduate experience in Town and Regional Planning, with at least two (2) years related supervisory experience.
- Other Skills/Requirements:
- Active technical or professional registration with SACPLAN.
- Strong working knowledge of planning and local government legislation, as well as NEMA regulations.
- Experience with Development Application Management Systems (DAMS).
