Financial Controller – Luxury Boutique Hotel – Cape Town

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller for a luxury boutique hotel based in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a financially astute professional to join a high-end hospitality environment and take full responsibility for the property’s financial management and reporting functions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring sound financial control, compliance, and strategic financial planning to support the ongoing success of the property.

• Oversee all financial operations of the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Manage cash flow, cost control and expense management
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations and internal policies
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process
• Provide financial insight and support to the General Manager and senior leadership team

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior financial role within the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles and accounting standards
• Experience working within a hotel or luxury hospitality environment
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organisational and leadership abilities
• Relevant financial qualification

Salary:
Negotiable DOE
