Corporate Finance Accountant CA; SA

The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the group’s statutory reporting processes and reviewing statutory financial reporting in compliance with IFRS.

The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the corporate tax function in order to ensure that tax risks are appropriately managed.

• Review company statutory financial reporting disclosures (annual financial statements)
• Assist with analysis and year-end governance around financial reporting

• Review VAT returns prepared by the tax accountant
• Assist with VAT reconciliations and analysis
• Review the monthly management accounting for taxation
• Assist with preparation of tax computations, returns and supporting schedules
• Assist with interim and annual financial statements tax disclosures

• Ad-hoc project work as and when required

• Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (SA)
• Bachelor of Commerce Degree or Similar
• Advantageous:
  Specific work experience and / or qualifications in taxation.
• Financial statement preparation in compliance with IFRS
• Strong MS Office Skills
• Intermediate / Advanced level of excel skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge and understanding of South African Tax legislation
• Experience of cross-border transactions and tax reporting thereof
