This role offers an opportunity to build your financial advisory knowledge and assist in relationship management of our private clients through supporting a Financial Adviser. You will be able to execute certain products yourself and will be part of the broader Private Client ecosystem. You will build relationships with bankers to deliver a wholistic proposition to our clients. You will be responsible for cultivating sustainable, high‑quality business in line with our strategic objectives. The role is responsible for assisting more senior advisers in providing financial advice to private clients in accordance with FAIS legislation and according to Investec's professional financial advice guidelines. The overarching objective is to offer holistic financial planning, which includes analysis of the client's financial affairs (including a risk analysis, pre‑ and post‑retirement planning and intergenerational wealth planning); development of a financial plan for the client;
solutioning for the client using Investec's life insurance and investment products; and ensuring that proper record keeping of advice is maintained.
- Responsible for the specific elements of the cell's sale targets for Mortgage Protection cover for your client portfolio
- Provide a consistent and coordinated client experience ensuring credibility of the Private Bankers and Senior Advisers
- Assist in keeping the Private Bankers informed in all activities with the clients
- Assist with the preparation for the annual financial reviews with clients
- Support the sales and marketing of Investec Life and My Investment product range with other distribution or service channels when required
- Act as the essential link between clients, bankers, advisers, and adviser consultants, ensuring seamless communication and coordination. This involves understanding client needs, conveying these to the advisers, and working closely with adviser consultants to develop tailored financial strategies. By facilitating clear and effective interactions, you help build trust and foster long‑term relationships that are crucial for client satisfaction and business growth.
- Always operate within the Private Bank business strategies and Investec's brand guidelines
- Relevant tertiary qualification and CFP would be preferred (or studying towards)
- Two to four years' experience in client support or administration, preferably in financial services
- Client service orientated
