Job Description
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-focused Bookkeeper who enjoys keeping the numbers accurate, the records tidy, and the day-to-day finance engine running smoothly.
You’ll be joining a fast-growing fintech operating across multiple entities and currencies in a high-volume payments environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their finance career who enjoys structure, routine, and precision, and who wants exposure to how a modern fintech runs financially
Job Description:
This role is well suited to someone who is comfortable with transactional finance work, enjoys working with systems and reconciliations, and takes pride in keeping financial records clean and up to date.
You’ll support the finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, payment allocations, reconciliations, invoicing, and month-end preparation. This is not a strategic finance role — it’s a practical, hands-on position that plays a critical part in keeping operations accurate and compliant.
You’ll work closely with senior finance team members and operational teams, gaining exposure to multi-entity and multi-currency environments while building strong foundational finance skills.
Your daily adventures include:
- Capturing and maintaining accurate daily financial records.
- Processing invoices, bills, and expenses with correct coding and documentation.
- Allocating payments and receipts within the accounting system.
- Performing daily and periodic reconciliations to ensure records balance.
- Flagging discrepancies or anomalies for review by senior finance team members.
- Supporting month-end close by preparing schedules and reconciliations.
- Maintaining clean, well-organised audit trails and supporting documentation.
- Assisting with finance-related queries from internal teams.
- Keeping accounting systems and records up to date and reliable.
- Supporting finance process improvements as the business scales.
What it takes to succeed:
- A recognised finance or accounting qualification (degree or diploma).
- 1–3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or junior finance role.
- Comfort working with numbers, reconciliations, and transactional data.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical working style.
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience using a cloud-based accounting system (advantageous).
- A willingness to learn and take guidance from senior finance team members.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage routine tasks consistently.
