Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs/ sketches/ drawings/ technical reports
• Conduct site inspections and condition assessments
• Prepares and maintains projects programme in consultation with external stakeholders
• Attend weekly Project Planning meetings.
• Regularly attends external / client meetings (design, project, construction)
• Highlights resource constraints to line manager and assist to overcome such challenges
• Ensure quality control and compliance with design codes
• Contribute to team mentoring and technical reviews
• Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables

• Professional Registration(s): ECSA registration (preferred)

  Experience:
  
  5+ years, preferably in structural engineering
• Preferred Project
  
  Experience:
  
  Working Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD software.
• Technical Skills / Software
  
  Required:
  
  Prokon, AutoCAD, Revit (advantageous), MS Office
• Soft Skills or Cultural Fit Qualities:
  Strong written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work independently and within a team, Professional conduct with clients and contractors
• Afrikaans proficiency is beneficial for regional client liaison
