Position InformationA highly specialised aerospace engineering environment is seeking a Procurement Manager with a can‑do attitude and strong experience in strategic purchasing and supplier management
. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in technically demanding environments, enjoys negotiating favourable agreements, and takes ownership of end‑to‑end procurement processes. You will play a key role in acquiring high‑quality goods, components, and services, ensuring projects meet budget, schedule and quality requirements.
- Procurement Leadership
:
Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for materials, components, consumables and services. - Supplier Negotiation & Management
:
Negotiate agreements, maintain supplier relationships, resolve non‑conformances and ensure suppliers meet quality and delivery standards. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration
:
Work closely with engineering, project management, quality and finance teams to meet technical requirements and project schedules. - Process Optimisation & Risk Management
:
Evaluate sourcing channels, develop risk mitigation strategies, conduct supplier audits, maintain procurement records and optimise cost efficiency. - Reporting & Analysis
:
Provide regular updates to management on procurement efficiency, perform cost analyses and benchmark supplier performance.
- Qualifications
:
B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor’s in Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management or Business Management. - Experience
: 2+ years in procurement, supply chain or purchasing, in precision or aerospace engineering. - Technical Skills & Knowledge
:- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications
- Understanding of Export/Import Control regulations and Incoterms
- Knowledge of quality and environmental management systems
- Supplier relationship and inventory management
- Strategic sourcing, commercial judgement and supply chain compliance
- Key Competencies
:- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Decision‑making under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Leadership and team management capabilities
- Commercial awareness and long‑term strategic mindset
