The Construction Director – Power is responsible for the end-to-end construction delivery of all power generation and grid infrastructure projects across Phelan’s portfolio. This includes utility‑scale Solar PV plants, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), MV/HV substations, and associated grid connection infrastructure across multiple regions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in large‑scale power or renewable infrastructure construction.
• Proven delivery of multiple utility‑scale Solar PV projects, including programmes exceeding several hundred MW.
• Demonstrated experience with BESS deployment and HV substation construction.
• Strong understanding of EPC/EPCM contracts, grid compliance, and construction law.
• Experience managing large, multi‑project capital portfolios (R10bn+ preferred).
