Salary: Annually

• Lead designs for landfill barriers, capping, leachate and gas systems
• Deliver waste infrastructure designs for RTSs, MRFs, and gas systems
• Ensure full compliance with SA environmental regulations and best practice
• Support feasibility, planning, risk assessment, and technical reviews
• Drive technical quality, team development, and innovation
• Collaborate with the Technical Director on strategy and proposals
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers

• Minimum 8+ years in solid waste and landfill engineering
• Proven experience leading technical teams or complex projects
• Strong environmental legislation and permitting knowledge
• Expertise in geosynthetics, landfill design, geotechnical analysis, and risk review
• Strong client engagement and proposal development skills
• Proficient in Civil 3D, Roc Science, and MS Project

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng)
