BIM Modeller​/Designer

Our client, a national multi-disciplined construction company, specialising in medium to large scale building and civils projects, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced Digital Delivery/BIM Coordinator for their operation in Cape Town.

Please note that this is a highly specialized role, requiring in Navisworks, Revit or related 3D Modelling software, with exposure to BIM
360 and will be site/project based.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:
You will have completed a tertiary qualification in structural engineering/architecture/electrical or mechanical engineering, coupled with 3-5 years’ experience in Navisworks and Revit 3D modelling and BIM 360, working on medium to large scale projects, creating workflows with regards to the transfer and storage of data, implementing efficiencies and planning effectively.

In addition, you will have proven experience in the following:

• BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data sets/workflows and project set up.

• Working experience in 3D modelling with the use of multiple software systems including Revit and Navisworks

• Support/lead the adoption of BIM tools and processes at the regional and project level

• Technical management of project BIM data sets

• Demonstrating a solid understanding of BIM processes, standards and construction processes across all stages of the project lifecycle

• Extensive knowledge of BIM platforms and Coordination of models

• Manage supporting software for BIM for project.

• Oversee the implementation of CAD and BIM on new projects

• Assist project team with setup/utilization of Navis Works as a design review/clash tool

• You will have strong working knowledge of construction standards, specifically related to quality management and be an effective problem solver

• Proven experience in a multi-disciplinary construction company is essential.

• You will have a high level of numeracy, be analytical, communicate effectively and have excellent organizational and multi-task skills

• You will have a list of contactable reference, a clear credit and criminal record, as well as a unendorsed driver’s license
