Our client, an established air systems engineering company specialising in large turnkey industrial projects, is seeking a skilled Applications Engineer to join their mechanical engineering team. The company manages the full project lifecycle — from design and manufacture through to installation and commissioning — serving sectors such as mining, power generation, industrial processing, agriculture, marine, poultry, commercial, and HVAC. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who values long-term career stability and wants to take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

• Interpret client specifications, tender documents, and technical requirements
• Design and select appropriate ventilation, fan, and air handling systems
• Prepare technical proposals, equipment schedules, and detailed costings
• Engage with clients to clarify requirements and present technical solutions
• Liaise with draughting, production, and installation teams to ensure practical, cost-effective designs
• Provide commissioning support and technical troubleshooting when required
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Attend site visits and client meetings as needed

• BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role
• Experience in ventilation, HVAC, fan systems, or industrial air movement applications (advantageous)
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
